Baume & Mercier Capeland Ref. 65353

In 1918, William Baume, a third-generation watchmaker, partnered with Paul Mercier, a visionary aesthete and businessman, in Geneva. This collaboration brought together William's technical pragmatism and Paul's design sensibilities, leading to a focus on wristwatches, particularly those with unconventional "shaped" cases beyond the traditional round style. The new "Baume & Mercier" company was officially registered in 1920. The war would later shape their company

The Capeland line often features a round case, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal (sometimes domed with an anti-glare coating), and a transparent exhibition case back on many models that reveals the automatic movement. The design is inspired by the brand's chronographs from the late 1940s

Overall this one has obvious wear and consistent desk diver unpolished condition but a clean crystal no gashes or damage the movement is healthy on Timegrapher
