Citizen Homer Second Setting Railway Japanese National Railroad-Issued circa 1970s

These time tools were issued to Japanese National Railway staff and make for a fine vintage dress watch today. The white dial is reminiscent of Bauhaus design with purposely legible printed black Arabic numbers paired with spike hands and a caseback stamp t東北鉄 (Tōhoku Tets) means Tohoku Iron or Tohoku Steel. The number 7154 is a numerical marking, likely a serial number, model number, or an inventory/asset number. This suggests the watch may have been associated with a company or organization related to the iron or steel industry in the Tōhoku region of Japan.

With an in-house manual winding movement, a hacking feature for accuracy of train arrival, this one is pacing like it had a recent service (unknown) at +3 seconds a day with a strong 269 amplitude and zero beat error.
