Enicar Unishock Hand Wind circa 1950s
In 1913, the Racine family founded Enicar—a palindrome as the brand is the family name in reverse. The late 1950s saw the production of the Sherpa and the brand was recognized for Everest climbs but ultimately retired around the quartz crisis.
The 1950s has a lot to like when it comes to solid daily driver watches. Cleanly designed to be one-watch collections for work, vacation and weddings but also clearly build to last generations. This one aligns with that ethos and was privately serviced in 2025.

31mm X 16 (the pix and videos are on a 6.9in wrist) We learned that the best look to see if a watch is too big or small is looking in a full length mirror—many will find their watches to look too big.
no box or papers
video is the best way to view the watch if in-person test drive is not available. Due to the different characteristics of the cameras and gadgets used, the color of the watch you purchase may not be the same as shown on this website or on our Instagram.
will consider trades that make sense but please consider time, shipping, and trade value—not market.
local special: can possibly accommodate at ButterScotch in Downtown Long Beach or another local establishment by appointment. All sales are final unless the watch is misrepresented or lost in transit (always fully insured). Lbwc does not offer warranty but some watches come with factory cards;- with transferable warranty. Purchases may take 1-2 business days to process and ship.
