Gallet Multichron 12h Chronograph
Gallet is known for its historic chronograph production offten designed with specialized functionality in mind: decimal scales for industrial purposes, pulsation scales for doctors, yachting registers for boat racing, tachymeter scales for tracking speed during automotive racing, and telemeter scales for tracking distance via sound.
The chronograph has been an essential piece of a driver's kit. This watch is best known and synonymous with racer Jim Clark who wore a black variant Gallet MultiChron 12H with its third register and capability of recording up to twelve hours. While a lot is going on with the dial it is cohesive and pairs lovely with straps.
While no service history, the movement looks clean and healthy on timegrapher—starting, stopping and resetting like it should. Overall, this one is a stunner from the midcentury—case and dial. Hour hand missing lume but common
