LeCoultre Tank 10k Gold Filled circa 1950s maybe 1940s

A fine time piece in a classic shape and gold filled case with sub-seconds and art-deco style. LeCoultre is the pre-JLC United States branding from approximately 1930-1980 due to tariffs on Swiss watches, so Jaeger-LeCoultre shipped bare, unassembled Swiss movements across the Atlantic and kept metals 14k and under. Once in America, the movements were placed inside US-sourced, locally manufactured cases and were marketed under the single name LeCoultre via a joint venture with the distributor Longines-Wittnauer.

While this one has no service history, it is winding super smooth and strong—also running 1-2min fast pending position but it is a dress piece and likely not a daily so still good-to-go. Note there is a small chip top right of what appears to be the crystal but dial is not exposed.
