Omega Seamaster ref. 168.024 circa 1969
This is Omega at its purest form: a midcentury timepiece for all situations from sailing to daily driving or a wedding. It was initially released in 1948 and still a mainstay today from cultural James Bond offerings to the SMP 300 series.
The 168.024 is a chronometer certified caliber on "beads of rice" style bracelet and "quick-set" date feature operated by repeatedly pulling the crown to the outermost position—also achieved by using the windshield wiper method which is easier on the stem and crown.
Overall, this piece is a fine example with period correct components, signed crown and bracelet with proper Omega engraved crystal visible with loupe —minimal signs of wear and polish. While no service history, this one is very healthy on timegrapher and movement is crispy clean.
