Blancpain Reference 1161-1127-55 Villeret Ultra Thin circa 2000 Box and Papers

“Since 1735 there has never been a quartz Blancpain watch. And there never will be." Jean-Claude Biver aka JB on the dial.

Biver’s response to the quartz crisis was to double-down and make the best and thinnest technical timepiece during his ownership of Blancpain in the 1990-2000s. This hot Neo-vintage 1161 in stainless steel case paired with alpine white dial and applied Breguet numerals and sword hands is perfect on the wrist and under the shirt cuff.

While no service history, this one is healthy on timegrapher and the wrist. Your experience may slightly vary. We also cannot accurately measure power reserve.
