Rolex Datejust ref. 16030 Ghost circa 1984

Ghost dials have white text and are usually on grey, taupe or lavender dials. The text tends to “ghost” or disappear in certain light and angles. This dial is dynamic are it ranges from a sunburst slate hue to a light smoke. Overall, an easy daily as it hits casual and formal fits nicely.

The Datejust is quintessential Rolex. It was introduced in the 1940s in solid gold with the reference 4467 and is still an industry icon today. This watch is a fine example of a classy timepiece that has never gone out of style and probably never will as it can be wore, casually professionally as well as formally. The 16030 variant sports an engine turned steel bezel and we subjectively love the cohesive look of the rippled steel bezel matching the jubilee

While service history is unknown, the automatic quickset caliber 3035 movement is both healthy and smooth on timegrapher—quickest snaps like it should. The case and bracelet are also clean with minimal signs of wear just a bit on sides of case and just light signs of polish—no notable damage. Hands a luminova service hands
