Rolex Day Date ref. 1807 Roman Dial and Spanish Datewheel circa 1973 serial 320####
The Day Date is quintessential Rolex. It is not only what captures the imagination of a luxury solid 18k gold Swiss watch but also the type of watch best for mobile currency: can get the owner out of a tough place. Culturally, the Day Date is perhaps most synonymous with “The Bear” Jack Nicklaus and for a bit of time his 1967 ref. 1803 was known as “The Golden Bear”.
The 1807 is an exotic variant with a “bark” or Florentine textured finish. This one is extra special as it dons a Roman numeral dial—factory painted like a Buckley dial—not applied. A deeper layer reveals an original Spanish datewheel which also sports “open 6 and 9” font.
Overall, this once is in very good condition and the wear on sides of the case point to a relatively unpolished case. The tritium is dead on hands and markers like it should—11, 1, 3 and 3 have disintegrated a bit
While no service history, this one is smooth and looking healthy on Timegrapher but your experience may vary.

Box and papers: no but this was sent to Rolex service center and they did not want to service citing lack of parts but validated it—we believe they dont want to give a service and RSC card because it competes with the CPO program
Bracelet: none, just a high end black Molequin strap
