Rolex GMT Master Pepsi ref. 16750 circa 1985
The GMT one of the most historic and iconic watches that Rolex ever produced as its heritage is forever linked to a commission request by Pan American World Airways in the midcentury their pilots who needed a time tool for time zones.
The 16750 is considered a collector’s classic as it is a transitional reference produced from 1980-1988 which kept the charm and aesthetic of the older 1675 but introduced mechanical upgrades with the caliber 3075 movement with 28,800 BPH.
This Pepsi sports a glossy lacquered black dial that as “spidered” and applied white gold surrounds framing the creamy custard tritium plots. Overall excellent condition with light signs of proper polish, no damage, just patina and dead lume like it should. While no service history, the data on timegrapher is excellent—your experience may slightly vary
