The Oyster Perpetual aka the OP is arguably the most popular modern model, even over steel sports offerings. The simplicity mixed with casual luxury is an easy choice, especially with the size and color variations. Reference 15000 was produced from approximately 1980-1989 and released as part of the five-digit 150xx generation to introduce the high-beat quickset Caliber 3035 movement
This OP Date flaunts a gilt lettered dial with matching hands are coronet—even better—golden aged tritium patina on the hour markers which have a two-tone gilt and silver look that appear white in certain light. The charm of vintage is that no two watches are the same; the original vintage “open” 6 and 9 font is also present. Ultimately, this watch has that “it factor”.
Overall, this is an honest example which appears all original with light wear throughout and light signs of polish. Some light marks on acrylic visible in stronger light while no service history, looking very healthy on timegrapher
