Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 1500 circa 1979 with Papers serial 598###
The Oyster Perpetual aka the OP is arguably the most popular modern model, even over steel sports offerings. The simplicity mixed with casual luxury is an easy choice, especially with the size and color variations. Reference 1500 was produced from approximately 1962-1979. This OP Date with classic silky silver burst dial is close to the purest Rolex design and one of the last in production. Even better, it comes with papers which is not common for a 1970’s Rolex in 2026.
Overall, this is an honest example which appears all original and relatively unpolished with consistent light wear throughout. The only note are a few marks on bracelet which we opted to not polish as well as a ding on the crown—again original and opted not to replace.

Bracelet: yes appears fully linked at 7.75 but we recommend 7.5in wrists and under for fit and look. the wrist in the videos is 7in.
