Rolex Oyster reference 6246
Email or IG message to make a negotiable Zelle or wire offer
Rolex Oyster reference 6246 circa 1954
The Oyster at one of its earliest an purest forms. The no-date 3-hander Rolex is arguably the brands most popular and still their cleanest offering today. This one is over 70 years old and appears to have remained original from the manual wind movement to the hands and dial—no refinishing—just raw vintage.
Between the 3-6-9 applied markers and alpha hands matching the 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11 we have all the signs of originality paired with a dial sporting natural patina. Lastly, the seconds hand has a nice blue oxidation hue in certain light. Overall in excellent condition for its age and a fine collector piece that is still a serviceable vintage daily driver.
While no service history, the movement is clean and hand wind is super smooth. On timegrapher, a healthy watch with a lot of life based on amplitude. It is running 35-48 seconds fast but we opted not to potentially mess up a good thing with a regulation tapping it closer to 0 seconds a day.
