Rolex Oysterdate ref. 6694 circa 1969 Yachting Blue Serial 206####
This Oysterdate is a clean classic example with a tropical yachting blue burst dial and stainless steal case paired with the original datewheel that reveals “open” 6 font and 9, which is one of the details and charm original to Rolex. In general, the 6694 has very unique dials as no two are alike but this is just a fun example. Lastly, the oyster case sports drilled lugs which enable easy strap changes for a strap monster of a watch
The Oysterdate is one of the earliest and purest forms of Rolex: a design language from the oyster case to cyclops powered by a manual wind movement exhibit to core of the brand. Reference 6694 first launched in the 1960s and lasted through the 1980s. Not only is it a fantastic entry into Rolex but also mechanical watches. This one from 1986 is one of the last batches.
Overall, the watch shows a very sharp thick case with signs of light polish and signs of wear on case but no servere damage. Obviously there are patina and aging spots on dial. Lastly we detected service hands. While no service history the manual wind movement showing very healthy data with almost perfect accuracy for era as well as a good amplitude —your experience may slightly vary—but these are numbers comparable to a recently serviced watch

Bracelet: yes, it can accommodate up to a 7.5in wrist and under. But recommend 7in and under for best look and fit. Bracelet code is G from 1982. Not the original mate but should be considered an upgrade with solid links—we can swap it for an older rivet
