Rolex Polar Explorer II ref. 16570 L-serial 1989 Service Dial and hands
Polar Explorer is not only arguably the best white dial steel sports watch ever made. Here we have a Neo-vintage era variant with the combination of sapphire crystal, red GMT hand, and hollow endlink bracelet. The Polar is also unique to other steel sports Rolex offerings as it does look exceptional on leather, rubber and nato straps.
At some point this was serviced my Rolex Service center and the tritium dial and hands were replaced with a Swiss Made superluminova set. Our personal watchmaker serviced it Summer 2025 and the automatic 3185 caliber movement is smooth and still running like new. Overall, there are light signs of wear on bezel and case— desk diver wear on oyster bracelet—minimal signs of polish.

Specifications: 40mm case X 20 lug width X 47h (lug to lug) with sapphire crystal (pix on a 7in wrist)
Box and papers: no
Bracelet: yes, hollow bracelet with L stamped on clasp which points to 1987 production which is period correct. It is close to fully linked (7.75) but we can accommodate wrist sized 7.7 and under
