Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph 49140
This Overseas is notably the first chronograph in the Overseas collection, produced from 1999 to 2004 and boasted antimagnetic construction. Powered by the automatic Caliber 1137 (a modified Frédéric Piguet 1185 base movement), the chronograph records minutes on the 3 sundial, hours on the 9, running seconds at 6 and date up top and 12.
A 2nd generation (possibly 1st generation) evolution of the Overseas has this one with a much more powerful look cased in an eight-notched bezel and crown guards for both a tough and cohesive aesthetic as it meets with a 2 part system clasp.
While no service history, this one is running with decent accuracy and high amplitude and zero beat error. Timegrapher data points to a healthy watch we opted no not open up and regulate closer to zero as the risk in not worth the reward for a few seconds.
Overall a very clean watch with no damage or condition marks. Mechanically, the chronograph doe not always reset perfectly to 12 as most times it will reset to 59min (a manual start stop can get it to 60. Lastly the 2-part locking system is neat but the last fold over is not super tight (if pulled hard it can come off). Bracelet appears to be fully linked.
